In order to get a good overview right from the start, why don't you cast a brief glance on our map?
Our Schongauer Märchenwald has been created in a compact manner on purpose, so you yourself and your (probably foremost small) kids don't have to run for miles to get from one attraction to the next.
...that's how the fairy tales start that still amaze our children nowadays.
From the main square at the entrance where the kids are being welcomed by a playground, a path leads through the forest to the displays of the most famous fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.
A little cottage or house is dedicated to each of the tales. By pushing a button you can activate a light and the kids can observe and enjoy the affectioantely designed displays. The puppets start moving and the fairy tale will be recited in a short version.
Come along to a small stroll in the woods... and experience the forest and its beauty.
The scents of the forest, a bare feet path, animal tracks, an insect hotel and wood science await you... and if you like, you can try a jump and see how the animals of the woods perform in comparison!
On a platform in the adventure forest you get a beautiful view on our fallow deers. Have fun!
... you'll find literally everywhere in our Märchenwald. There's something for every age and courage and it's a great delight for all of the kids.
The greatest of our attractions is probably our free-of-charge railway tour through the Mines of the Dwarfs... you'll love it!
Climbing frames, a rope slide or zip line, slides, a sand box and so much more awaits you and inspire an active timeout and physical experience.
Even a digger and small electric bumper cars are at your disposal - for the latter we have to ask for the insertion of a coin of 50 cents in order to have everyone have their turn as they are very popular with the kids.
Especially for small chidlren, but also for the slightly older ones, animals are simply fascinating and it is a great experience for kids to see them up close in the petting zoo and touch and feed them.
For security reasons (as our guests are often very young) and also in order to give the animals the freedom to retreat and be for themselves, a fence always stays between our visitors and the animals.
Big and small goats and sheep are living happily in our Schongauer Märchenwald and are excited about your visit. Special food for them can be purchased at the entrance.
It caws, sings, squeaks and flaps all over the place in our Schongauer Märchenwald... partially in smaller enclosures... partially running around freely in the park.
Our peacock is a real looker and loves to prance among the visitors but the parrots also are very popular.
We are certain: There's something here for everybody and there's a lot to be amazed about.
Rabbits and guinnea pigs are living in our rabbit village.
The bunnies have everything a village needs. A fire station, a railway, a knight's castle, a post office and loads of grass and hay.
In the rabbit's house, there's two levels for cuddle and sleeping places. On a round food table fresh delicacies are served all day long - what a life!
Our fallow deers are situated a bit apart from all of the daily hullabaloo and have their own plot in a corner of the park.
Here you can find a platform from where the animals can be observed easily and without disturbing their rather shy natures.
