WE ARE OPEN ON WEEKENDS AND DURING THE BAVARIAN SCHOOL HOLIDAYS FROM 10 AM TO 5 PM
Experience portrayals and narratives of the Grimm brother's most famous fairy tales, situated beautifully in the woods between Schongau and Peiting.
You'll find various animals in the park, goats, sheep, nandus, deers and ponies that can be reached on a round tour.
Playgrounds, rich in variety for every age, our adventure forest, a leisure lawn with sun beds and a generous food and drink area complete the offering.
The ideal destination for a family day trip if you're based in Munich, Swabia, Upper Bavaria or the Allgäu!
Every year, we're building and renewing our fairy tale parc so that you'll find something new every time you come along...
FREE WIFI in our fairy tale park!
Since our internet connection is not yet running on fibreglass (but soon will be!), the offering of free wifi has to be limited to 3 hours per day/person in order to have all the guests enjoy a stable connection.
In case of any questions or queries, please come to the "KIOSK" at the entry.
After a stroll through the park, feeding the animals and having tested all of our playgrounds, we invite you to eat at our restaurant and enjoy a place designed for families!
Our meals are homemade and of bavarian style, you'll find coffee and cakes and our rooms have kid's corners, where your children can play and make friends with others.
A family timeout at its best! :-)
We want all people who come to us to have it easy and be able to move around as independently as possible ... that's why our Märchewald is designed to be as barrier-free as possible.
Welcome at our fairy tale parc with your wheelchair, walker, stroller, handcart ... :-)

"Small but nice, really very dear employees, you feel right at home with small children. The prices for the food are absolutely right."
Tatjana Weidner, August 2021
"A fantastic park with depictions of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, adventure trail, great playgrounds, goats and sheep feeding, little fairy tale train, good restaurant with delicious food and great staff. We felt at home straight away and were enchanted. We will return with pleasure."
Nicole Horneck, August 2021
"We, mom, grandma, grandpa, granddaughter (3 years) and grandchildren (7 months) spent wonderful hours in the fairy tale forest. The low pandemic-related restrictions are not a problem and the admission price is justified. We can only recommend this fairy tale forest."
Bernd Oehmichen, August 2021
